Steve Smith

Steve joined SIAS in January 2022 as Managing Director and is responsible for setting and implementing the strategic direction. Under his stewardship SIAS has quickly become one of the fastest growing End-Point-Assessment Organisations nationally, positively disrupting the traditional EPA model and market-place through the introduction of a new and different way to approach Apprenticeship assessment.

Steve is passionate about technical & vocational education and has worked in the skills and awarding sector since 2007, previously holding senior leadership positions at global brands such as Cambridge Assessment (OCR), NCC Education, and ABE, where he was instrumental in driving forward growth and implementing positive change across both domestic and international education markets.

Always results driven, Steve enjoys structuring collaborations, partnerships and joint ventures that create value at scale, and has a successful track record in building successful business relationships across both the public and private sectors, always putting customers, and a laser focus on practical implementation, at the heart of his approach.
