Jake Tween
Director of Apprenticeships
Over the last 17 years, Jake has carried out a range of roles in some of the UK’s top awarding organisations. Since the reforms of 2015, Jake has specialised in apprenticeships and, in particular, End-Point Assessment. In this time, he has contributed his expertise to over twenty individual trailblazer groups, as well as government think-tanks and industry forums. He is deeply passionate about technical and vocational education and the value it brings to individuals, employers, the economy and society as a whole. DSW provides End-Point Assessment services to over 3,000 employers across 38 apprenticeship standards. Providing a pragmatic, ‘human’ touch, they seek to work with all stakeholders to remove unnecessary barriers and create engaging experiences –and positive outcomes – for apprentices. As DSW’s Director of Apprenticeships, Jake engages regularly with employers, training providers and apprentices to provide a fair, robust and consistent EPA that gives all apprentices equal opportunity to succeed.
